Revamping my Blog: Travel & Cruelty-Free Lifestyle

Things are shaking up in here. I'm digging myself a little blogging niche and I've never been more comfortable.

If you've been following my blog for a while, you might remember that back in early 2017 when I started rachelemmablog, I wasn't even cruelty-free. Yet, over a year later, pretty much everything I own is. I've been vegetarian for almost a decade now and, as there are some absolutely incredible brands and products that don't test on animals, I want to share my favourites with you. From drugstore to high end. From dupes to new releases. As a bit of makeup and skincare magnet, I love to get the chance to discuss my favourite ethical finds.

Every year since I turned eighteen, I have done more and more travelling. Seems odd really, considering my income certainly hasn't increased and, if anything, I have less time on my hands. However, travelling is an investment. You don't have to go on a luxury trip that breaks the bank; if you know where you want to go and how much you want to budget, you can have some incredible experiences.

Partly due to a) everyone moving to university and b) having a boyfriend who lives in Wales, I've spent the last two years hopping on and off of trains trawling around the UK. I hope to share all of that with this blog- from my hometown adventures to the adventures where I do have to present my god-awful passport picture to airport security.

My travel bucket list has only expanded, and by saving and carefully researching, I'm starting to wade my way through the mountain of destinations, and my blog is growing into the little travel and cruelty-free lifestyle space that I want it to be.

Is there anything you particularly want to see posted on here? Leave any requests below!

If you have your own blog, what do you write about? Be sure to leave a link below so I can check it out too!

  1. I love that your skin care routine is cruelty-free. I will admit, I can sometimes be a little slack with this. Every now and then when I’m purchasing a product I will forget to look at how their testing is done and realise after I’ve already purchased it.

I’d love to hear about your skin care routine for when you’re traveling and the cruelty-free products you would use then. x

    1. I was actually planning on making a post on that the next time I travel! And don’t worry about that, everyone has slip ups and often brands are kinda sketchy and ambiguous about their testing policies. x

  3. I love reading travel blogs - find them so inspiring although I always end up wanting to jet off! Haven’t written any travel blogs in ages though. Great that you’re supporting cruelty free!

    1. Me too! I don't travel nearly as much as I'd like to, but there is still so much about it that I find inspiring as well. Thank you for reading x

  5. What a lovely post, something really positive! I'd love to see a post about your travel essentials?
I've only just started blogging again after stopping in 2014, so I'm slowly just trying to get into it again haha.

    1. I'm planning on doing a travel essentials next time I go away, actually! I know what you mean, it takes a while to get back into. You've just got to remind yourself that the most important person your blog is for, is you. x
